Toffeed nose with a red fruit edge. Some stone fruit notes. Delicate mousse. Dark and serious mid palate with some Treacle notes alongside orange peel, toast and this tight pithy mid to late. As it opens it becomes glorious...turning into a more honeyed monster with loads of maple syrup, hints of liquorice and black Jack's. The finish, preciously a touch oxidative, has become brighter and more energied. Salty with this lovely weighty texture and length.

We have known this fantastic biodynamic producer for some time. Based in Verzenay they work with vineyards in Verzy, Viller Marmery, Ville-Dommange and Verzenay itself. They became organic in 2013 and biodynamic in 2014. Their style is surprisingly rich, subtle and complex.
