The next iteration of this stunning vintage blend of 50/50 Pinot Noir/Chardonnay. Coming from the equally esteemed 2012 vintage, there is a touch of stone fruit on the nose, but there is still the rich notes of butter and pastry. As a younger vintage it remains fresh and clean on the palate with exotic fruit in the mix. There's a really generous mid to late which really grips your palate, whilst the finish shows amazing brightness.
House Profile
The Brochet name bounds around the region of Champagne and beyond. But not this one. Until now. Having tasted several hundred wines during an exhausting trip to Champagne, we came across this magic producer and the wine jumped out of the glass at us. Based in the village of Ecueil in the north west of the region, they produce masterfully juicy, rich wines from their ample 13 hectare holdings. They hold both VD and HVE and you sense that honesty, thought and precision in their wines.
