Champagne & Coteaux Combo
Champagne isn't only about sparkling wine. In fact, there is a growing trend towards still red and white wines, known as 'Coteaux Champenois'.
This selection combines one of the best examples in the region alongside a classic Grand Cru Côte des Blancs Chardonnay and a fascinating rich blend from the Aube – a trio that truly captures the wonderful diversity of the Champagne region.
Bonnaire Terroirs
100% Chardonnay from Cramant, Chouilly and Oiry, this is one of our go-to NV Blanc de Blancs, as it never fails to impress. The nose is bright and the palate follows with a delicate mousse and a sweet, chalky backbone. Great on its own or with some light snacks.
Rémi Leroy Quatre Cépage Mer Sur Mont
A fabulous blend of the three noble grapes along with a small addition of Pinot Blanc – one of the 'cépage oublies' or forgotten grapes, that now account for less than a percentage of all planting in the appellation. In this blend it does a fabulous job of bringing additional freshness to a weighty Aube blend. There's lovely salty texture and a wonderful, juicy mid palate which brings loads of red fruit and zesty citrus notes forward.
Rousseaux Batteux Coteaux Champenois Verzy Rouge
If you're partial to Burgundy or new world Pinot Noir, this is definitely one to try! 100% Pinot Noir, made from a single parcel of old vines (1964 planting) in the Grand Cru village of Verzy, it beautifully captures the power and finesse of the terroir.
