Classic Côte des Blancs Chardonnay, with everything you want from the terroir. Crisp green apple, with a vertical nose. The front end is warm and chalky front with an impressive weight of green fruit on the palate and a really nice sugar delivery.
House Profile
Founded in 1950 by Jean-Louis Vergnon, the family own 7ha predominantly in the Grand Cru village of Le-Mesnil-sur-Oger, with some additional plots in Oger, Avize, Vertus and Villeneuve. They are HVE certified and vinify in steel and oak, with no malolactic fermentation. The range of wines they create are archetypal Côte des Blancs Chardonnay – clean, crisp, chalky with wonderful structure and balance of fruit.
