Stunning forward nose full of butter and toffee. Really good mouthfeel – so balanced and controlled. Not a hair out of place, with this juicy, saline lemon note gracing the finish. Such lovely texture and granulated mid to late. A cracking wine!
House Profile
Founded in 1950 by Jean-Louis Vergnon, the family own 7ha predominantly in the Grand Cru village of Le-Mesnil-sur-Oger, with some additional plots in Oger, Avize, Vertus and Villeneuve. They are HVE certified and vinify in steel and oak, with no malolactic fermentation. The range of wines they create are archetypal Côte des Blancs Chardonnay – clean, crisp, chalky with wonderful structure and balance of fruit.
