The nose is fresh and delicate with some floral notes and juicy stone fruits. The palate is plentiful with a great vivacity and a wonderful sense of terroir and precision. There is a touch of toast and exotic fruits on the mid that makes this so moreish and enjoyable.
House Profile
Based in the village of
Gyé-sur-Seine in the southerly Côte des Bar, the Josselin family have owned vineyards since the mid 19th century but didn't start their own independent brand until 1957. Recently, management has been taken forward by the grandson of Jean Josselin, Jean-Félix who oversees 14 parcels of land that benefit from a variety of different soil compositions and expositions that are worked with sustainable practices to create a range of terroir-focussed cuvées.
