Stunning roasted nose full of pine nut, butter and oodles of dark stewed fruit. The palate initially hits with this dark intensity of fruit, followed by blackcurrant leaf, lemon peel and juicy blueberries. As the wine opens the freshness really shows with loads of lemon drops and sherbert. The depth and layers on this wine are insane. There is no doubt in my mind that this is one of THE producers to watch in the coming years.
I'm in love!

House Profile

Whilst this Maison might only have been established in the late 1990's, the family can trace their winemaking history back hundreds of years. The estate boasts an ample 21 hectares across Trépail, Vilelrs-Marmery and Verzy in the Montagne de Reims, as well as plots in the Côte des Bar. The talented vigneron, Edouard Carré, is presently at the helm working with organic processes in the vineyards and vinifying in 300l new oak barrels.
