Les Caourdets is a new single-parcel Chardonnay, planted in 1984 on a terroir of great biodiversity, with clay and iron oxide rich soil, lying on a bed of chalk, flint and limestone. The nose is wonderfully aromatic, whilst the first sip shows great tension and precision. There is real depth to this wine despite its youth, with more and more nuanced fruit flavour revealing itself as the wine opens.

House Profile

A wonderfully exciting new producer from the village of Beaunay, South of the Côte des Blancs. The Domaine was founded in the 1920s by Leon and Gabrielle Aubert. They started by working the vines and their children ended up developing the winery. The first press was put in by their child Pascal in the 1990s. Maxime came on board in 2012 and started to make his own wines in 2015 after the construction of their first cellar.
