Carré Frères Les Champs des Maladries
We kick off with a new producer that has a cult following. Working in the village of Trépail in the north of the Montagne de Reims, Edouard uses organic processes to create this beautiful blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
Key feature... One of the few vignerons to vinify in new oak barrels to give his wines incredible depth, texture and vinosity.
Caillez Lemaire Jadis 2012
Another brilliant blend. This time from Hachette Guide Vignerons of the Year 2024. Brilliant fruit, depth and salinity, with beautiful secondary elements coming into play.
Key feature... Comes from the truly exceptional 2012 vintage that has approached its perfect drinking window – now until ~2035.
Domaine Vincey 'Auge' 2020
The second release of this single-vineyard Chardonnay is a touch broader than the original, with some honey on the nose. The palate is more generous and textured, whilst use of oak adds a lovely warmth and generosity.
Key feature... Rated 93 by MW Anne Krebiehl in Vinous Magazine April 2025.
Oudiette Les Caourdets
The brand new single-parcel Chardonnay from Maxime Oudiette. Made from old vines planted on clay and iron oxide rich soil, with a bed of chalk, flint and limestone, it's super terroir focussed and inimitably Oudiette.
Key feature... One of the rising stars of the grower-movement making the 'Petit Morin' sub-region a hotspot for exciting Champagne.
Rousseaux Batteux Verzenay 'Les Potences'
Superlative small-batch Pinot Noir from a single parcel 'Les Potences' in the legendary Grand Cru village of Verzenay. Planted in 1975, the age of these vines ensures exceptional concentration in the small grape yield and, as such, a brilliant expression of the terroir – elegant and refined with wonderful minerality and subtlety of fruit.
Key feature... A true, 'limited edition', production for this cuvée is less than 600 bottles per year.
Herbert & Co. 1000% Meunier
Saving the biggest and boldest until last, this pure Meunier can have you questioning what constitutes 'Champagne'. So rich, full of fruit and absolutely demanding of turkey with all the trimmings, it's a showstopper that will wow.
Key feature... Micro-oxygenation from vinification in oak and ageing on cork is the key to imparting the depth and complexity that makes this Champagne stand out.
Please note: Occasionally, due to stock availability, we may need to substitute bottles. In this situation, the replacement cuvées will be in the same style, and of the same or greater value.
