Coteaux Champenois continues to grow in popularity in the appellation and it's not just quality red wines that are being made! This is the first white wine from this house, conceived when tasting Vin Clair from the 2020 harvest. The aromatics of this single-plot Chardonnay really delivered and so a portion of still wine was left to develop in oak barrels to create this beautifully elegant Coteaux Champenois.
House Profile
The Brochet name bounds around the region of Champagne and beyond. But not this one. Until now. Having tasted several hundred wines during an exhausting trip to Champagne, we came across this magic producer and the wine jumped out of the glass at us. Based in the village of Ecueil in the north west of the region, they produce masterfully juicy, rich wines from their ample 13 hectare holdings. They hold both VD and HVE and you sense that honesty, thought and precision in their wines.
