As with other cuvées from the house, this Meunier heavy blend uses a third solera that runs back to 1980. This gives the wine real structure and depth with stewed fruits and toasty notes that are balanced by crisp acidity and salinity. Put simply, it's a lot of Champagne for the price tag!
House Profile
Both the Goutorbe and Bouillot family have a history of winemaking dating back to the early 18th century but they came together in the 1930s when Pierrette Bouillot and Jules Goutorbe married. The house is now managed by Dominique and Bastien and they look after 8 hectares, under both HVE and VD in the village of Damery. The wines show a lovely play of freshness alongside a brilliant touch of maturity.
