A single vineyard Chardonnay from the the southerly reaches of Champagne, bordering Chablis. The nose had a lovely oxidative nature and some toasty notes. On the palate it's nicely complex without taking itself too seriously. There's good depth and length and a lovely prickly finish.

A family of winemakers with a history that can be traced back to the 1600s, Guenin are based in village of Essoyes, in the heart of the Côte des Bar. Today the Maison is operated by 11th generation vigneron, Sebastien Guenin, who created his first cuvee in 2015 after a wine education that saw him gain experience across France.
