Golden hued with a big nose filled with primary fruit. On the palate the fruit and sugary weight is nicely balanced, bringing forth a lovely textural layer on the mid to late with a rich, yet fresh finish.
House Profile
Based in the village of Gyé-sur-Seine in the southerly Côte des Bar, the Josselin family have owned vineyards since the mid 19th century but didn't start their own independent brand until 1957. Recently, management has been taken forward by the grandson of Jean Josselin, Jean-Félix who oversees 14 parcels of land that benefit from a variety of different soil compositions and expositions that are worked with sustainable practices to create a range of terroir-focussed cuvées.
