One year in oak. No malo. Aged on cork. Light gold with a touch of green. The nose is glorious nose, with a light touch of toffee alongside loads of tropical and exotic elements and that brilliantly integrated oak and fleshy apple. There is a really inviting vertical pine nut element to it too. The palate is brilliant; fresh, textured with lovely sweet oak brilliantly bringing forward the juicy, playful tropical elements without losing that serious profile that is the foundation of this wine. The finish is just superb – so generous but perfectly linking some bitter elements to create an immediate drive back to your glass! This is an epic 2017!
House Profile
The Vincey family have been winemakers for 8 generations but it wasn't until Quentin joined in 2009 that production took the form that it is today. They work with 7 hectares in Oger, Mesnil and Chouilly and, since Quentin's joining have removed any pesticides or herbicides. They have been working with the biodynamic principles for over three years. An exquisite winemaker who creates a wonderful fullness of fruit and layered complexity in their wines. Truly one to investigate as their wines will soon become the stuff of legend...
