Created from a lieu dit of old vines (planted 1966) 'Le Mahomet' is both bold and elegant at the same time. The nose is full of ripe red fruits and a touch of tannin but the palate is far fresher than could be anticipated with a really refined structure and complexity that balances the fruits wonderfully. Vinous yet refined, it's a superb example of rosé de saignée.

House Profile

Based in the village of Sermiers, in the south of the Petite Montagne de Reims, Perrine is one of the very few independent winemakers in a village dominated by a co-operative. Sarmate is her debut cuvée and really shows her potential. We're excited to see where her wines are heading!
