The second cuvée and first rosé from this new and talented winemaker based in the Petite Montagne de Reims. Produced using old vine Meunier from a single vineyard with 12 hours of skin maceration, and vinified in oak. The colour is a beautiful bruised cherry red and I can remember tasting this in barrel from the nose alone! It's so fascinating and inviting with cherry, green apple and loads of violets and plum. The palate is playful, suggestive and delicious – both light and fun yet complex and layered too. With very limited production, you better buy one while you can!

House Profile

Based in the village of Sermiers, in the south of the Petite Montagne de Reims, Perrine is one of the very few independent winemakers in a village dominated by a co-operative. Sarmate is her debut cuvée and really shows her potential. We're excited to see where her wines are heading!
