Stunning nose! Lovely complexity and depth with this gorgeous sweet nutty note. The initial sip keeps central then this explosion of richness and mouthfilling grip, with an insane pine nut, sea salt combo and a hint of crunchy caramel. This is a brilliant '18 with so much going on – beautifully layered, rich and complex. There is plenty of exotic fruit with this amazing explosion of salinity and, as it opens, the nutty play comes to the fore and the palate develops a dark richness and amazing sweet length.

Bryan took charge of his family Maison, Marx-Coutelas & Fils in 2017. A few years down the line, he selected 1.5 hectares from their 7 hectare holdings in Venteuil to start his own side project, with a view to creating a completely different style of cuvée. The result is Domaine des Tuileries. Each wine is oak vinified and represent distinct profiles from the estate with a particular focus on the beauty that can be brought by individual barrels. For a first release, they are staggering!
