This cuvée balances out the fresh vivacity of the '13 vintage with 9 years of lees ageing, to bring real depth and richness to the palate. The nose still carries the hallmark chalk and lemon but follows with buttery biscuits and white flowers. The palate is lively and precise with a nice sharpness, great minerality and a delicious toasty bed.
House Profile
These guys have been knocking it out of the park over the last few years. The house dates back to the early 20th Century but has been given a new lease of life with the introduction of Clemente and Antoine in the last decade or so. They work with 44 plots in Cramant, Mesnil, Chouilly, Oiry and Oger but have key plots in the fabulous single vineyards of Chetillons and Mont Aigu among others. They produce wines that are beautifully honest to the terroir and I can't wait to see what the next few years brings for them.
