The 2014 was the last vintage Antoine made with his grandfather. A blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from his main plots in Avenay val d'Or, Bisseuil and Mareuil sur Ay. The wine is exotic, playful with a touch of oxidation creating this beautifully perfumed and vinous experience. The use of oak creates a perfectly poised mid palate and the salinity on the end leaves this lovely bitter touch.
House Profile
The maison was founded by Antoine's father Guy Bouvet in 1970. Antoine was handed the estate at the tender age of 17. Most of the 5 hectares is sold to Bollinger, but Antoine works with 1 hectare creating beautifully crafted wines from Mareuil sur Ay, Avenay val d'Or and Bisseuil. He works solely with oak and uses biodynamic practices throughout. His wines play with oxidation creating this sharp, vinous appeal and mineral freshness.
