Made from Pinot Noir grapes sourced exclusively from Troissy in the heart of the Vallée de la Marne. A terroir of limestone clays, sands, white and green marls imbues the wine with distinctive minerality and aromatic depth. On the nose, there are smoky and spicy notes, which evolve into fresh and vibrant citrus aromas. Whilst vinification and ageing in 400-litre oak barrels, adds warmth and complexity to the palate.

Alexis is the 6th generation of Champagne Xavier Leconte but has chosen to create a stunning side brand, Champagne Alexis. The wines jumped out at us for their complexity, texture and depth. He works mainly with Meunier from Troissy, Dormans, Mareuil-le-Port, Vandières and, importantly, some epic Pinot Noir in Aÿ – where he creates his stunning cuvée: Aegius.
