Georges Remy Les Muits 2021

Georges Remy is rightly renowned for his Pinot Noir which is completely understandable given his location in the heartlands of this noble grape. For a different side of his winemaking, try Les Muits, a pure Chardonnay from a single parcel in Tauxières. Bursting with tropical fruit and lots of grip and texture on the palate from the oak, it's a far cry from a steely Côte des Blancs Chardonnay, but a brilliant juxtaposition.

We visited Georges before he had even released a Champagne! Having seen a bottle of Bouzy Rouge, (red wine from the village of Bouzy), we found our way to his house and were introduced to a fabulous selection of cuvées. He works mainly with Pinot Noir in Bouzy, Tauxieres and creates a stunning rosé!
